YUMMY!
We had so much fun trying this experiment. The triangle is one of the strongest shapes on earth. Because each of its angles is fixed, it won't change shape or size when pressure is applied to the points. You can prove it by going 3-D.
We built a tetrahedra, a 3-D triangle out of gum drops and tooth picks. To test the
structure's strength, we built four tetrahedra and arranged them in a square
formation. Then Dalton and Trenton took turns stacking books to see how many the
structure could hold. Well, when yo have a 2 and 4 year old stacking books, the books
fell first. We counted 10. As soon as they fell, Dalton started eating. It was fun!
